Our sole interest is improving the local economy in any way we can through the use of technology. Ultraband is a name we have chosen to represent the activities undertaken by Accelerate Nottingham in the area of next generation access (see What is Ultraband?)

Accelerate Nottingham is focused on bringing economic benefits to Greater Nottingham through the use of technology. It is a partnership of organisations that includes the City and County Councils, Nottingham’s two universities, the NHS and the Greater Nottingham Partnership. The answer is simple: they are all responsible in some way for Greater Nottingham’s economic prosperity and they all stand to benefit from faster, cheaper internet connectivity, whether it is saving them money directly, delivering new and better services to their residents or bringing new businesses to the area, which means more jobs for the citizens they serve.
